Applications for scholarships for 2025 study now closed
This is a list of scholarships that are available for students intending to enrol at ҕl in the first year of an undergraduate degree in the Health (including Health Sciences, Social Work, Speech & Language Pathology and Sport Coaching) or Education areas.
Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria so check the details of each one to find out if you're eligible.
We recommend you apply for all the scholarships you are eligible for, as it is possible to be awarded more than one scholarship at a time.

Education
ҕl Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education Māori Scholarship
ʳܰDz:This scholarship recognises the value of ākonga Māori (Māori students) in Te Kaupeka Ako Faculty of Education at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | ҕl and aims to support those who are entering tertiary study for the first time.

Who is eligible: First-year Māori undergraduate students intending to enrol in a degree programme in Education.
Other relevant information: Applicants must have studied at secondary level either (1) in ҕl New Zealand, or (2) overseas at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu. Applicants must be citizens or ҕl New Zealand or holders of ҕl New Zealand residence class visas.
ҕl Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education Pacific Scholarship
ʳܰDz:This scholarship recognises the value of Pacific students in Te Kaupeka Ako Faculty of Education at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | ҕl, and aims to support those who are entering tertiary study for the first time.
