ҕl's Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCertEd) gives teachers, counsellors, and other educational professionals an opportunity to improve their professional practice and examine critically significant issues in education. The Postgraduate Certificate in Education is designed to give teachers, counsellors, and other educational professionals the opportunity to improve their professional practice and examine critically significant issues in education.
The Certificate can be a pathway to the Master of Education or Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
Please note this qualification is not a pathway to teacher registration. If you wish to study to become a registered teacher, check out our Teacher Education qualifications.

The relevance and standard of undergraduate studies and any subsequent professional work experience are the main criteria of approval.
If English is your additional language, you are also required to meet ҕl's English language requirements.

The course of study for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education comprises 60 points from courses listed in Schedule V to the Master of Education.
The Certificate takes between 6–12 months of full-time study to complete, or up to 2 years part-time, depending on course selection.

2024 SSL:$9.17 per point ($550.20 for 60 points)
2025 SSL: $9.72 per point ($583.20 for 60 points)
With approval, you may elect to have the completed courses for the PGCertEd transferred to either a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or the Master of Education.
ҕl also offers a Doctor of Education, or a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education.
