The event attracted 1460attendees across the city, where academics shared their knowledge and sparked engaging conversations. The aim of the event was to make knowledge more accessible to the public in an open and relaxed environment.

Raising the Bar began in 2014 in New York City and quickly became an international event. It’s since been held in San Francisco, London, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. This was the second year that Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | ҕl (ҕl) has hosted this event.
