HOW TO APPLY
What do we mean by Work-Integrated Learning (or, WIL)?

WIL is an umbrella term used to describe a range of activities undertaken by students as a structured part of your course or degree. WIL experiences integrate the theory you learn during your studies with practice in an authentic workplace environment.

Depending on your programme of study, you may know this type of learning by another name such as a practicum, internship, work-experience or industry competition. WIL opportunities may be through a work placement (e.g. internships, placements), or a work-related project (e.g. a final year project, community work, competition).

Completing a Work-Integrated Learning experience has many benefits for you as a student, including:

  • Looks great on your CV
  • Improving your employability
  • A chance to apply your skills and knowledge in a practical setting
  • Developing your networks
  • Personal and professional development
