What will you gain?

This immersive two-day LCS Certified Lean Training course will help you explore operational excellence through lean methodologies.

You will learn about key Lean concepts that drive a culture of continuous improvement, and how to apply these within your own work context to drive business performance.

Other topics include:

  • Defining and visualising KPI’s to enable proactive decision making;
  • Discussing results in a way that empowers people and enables growth;
  • Identifying and selecting opportunities for improvement;
  • Applying best practice tools to systematically define, analyse and solve problems and implement solutions; and
  • Leading a small improvement project within your own business context.

Benefits of gaining accreditation

Following the course you will be encouraged to take an online exam and lead an improvement project in order to receive your internationally accredited certification issued by Lean Competency System (LCS) in the UK, validating theoretical and practical proficiency.

The LCS is the leading workplace based continuous improvement qualification and is used by organisations and practitioners across the world. Becoming LCS certified enables you to become an LCS Practitioner Member which enables you to access resources to help you practice and teach, set up a digital credential profile and use the LCS's unique Continuing Professional Development platform.

It will equip you with the tools and techniques for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and unlock transformative improvements within your organisation and its supply chain.

Course structure

On this two-day course you will engage in dynamic sessions using theoretical knowledge, interactive business games and practical exercises for deep understanding.

You will apply learnings to real scenarios with multi-industry examples and share your own business challenges to gain personalised support to improve your day-to-day work. Bring your own improvement topics to use during the exercises and start on your improvement project required for the practical examination.

Following the course you will be provided with materials, handouts and printables on key concepts you have learnt. You will also have access to 1 on 1 coaching from the trainer to support you with completing your improvement project.

Based on your online exam and practical improvement project results, you will receive the LCS accredited Lean Yellow belt certificate.
