Social Innovation study at ΢ҕl trains you to lead activism and transformation projects for and with Māori communities.

Contribute to issues like reo revival, racism, wāhine, poverty, Māori youth activism, and other social movements that will further develop Māori culture into the 21st century.

What will my study involve?

  • Learn to recognise, plan, and lead change so you can apply your study to social movements that you care about.
  • Customise your degree towards particular social issues, systems, and communities.
  • Project work in your degree will give you real-world experience creating and carrying out your own social programme.

Social movements and other forms of activism need graduates with communication, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills to raise awareness and make effective change.

Career pathways could include:

  • Iwi and community development
  • Human services
