Sculpture

Introduction

With Sculpture studies, you will explore time, space, and context behind crafted objects.

Build your artistic practice through the use of different materials, processes, theories, and contemporary techniques.

There is strong competition for places in the Intermediate Year (first year) of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) – see the degree page for information on entry requirements and how to apply.

What will my study involve?

  • Create your own body of works and sculptural projects.
  • From second year, you will have 24-hour access to your own studio space where you are able to explore your personal and academic creativity.
  • Make use of purpose-built studios, workrooms, technical workshops, and the Ilam Campus Gallery.

Courses

Sculpture major

For the major in the Bachelor of Fine Arts, complete the following courses:

200-level

300-level

At least one 300-level ARTH course must be completed if you want to be eligible for Honours in your fourth year.

400-level

If you are completing your fourth year at Honours level, you will take FINA601 Fine Arts Honours Research instead of the 400-level courses above.
