Undergraduate qualifications in Sport
Certificate in Sport Coaching
If you're involved in sport coaching or team management at any level and wish to enhance your development and skills, the Certificate in Sport Coaching (CertSpC) is the ideal programme for you. The certificate offers the flexibility of studying full-time or part-time, on campus or at home. The programme can be tailored by choosing the courses that fit your interests and needs. Learn from leading experts and academics and have access to world-leading technologies in the Sports Lab and personalised online support for distance students.
The CertSpCis usually completed part-time over 12 months.
The certificate consists of 60 points (four courses).Students completeORANDplus an additional 30 points of,with options including Nutrition, Psychology, Strength and Conditioning.

Graduate Certificate in Sport Coaching
TheGraduate Certificate in Sport Coachingprovides practising coaches and those employed in the sports industry the opportunity to develop their professional coaching skills. It is also available to students who are not currently employed in the industry, but wish to develop skills and competencies to gain employment in performance sport coaching contexts.
The GradCertSpC will develop knowledge and expertise in contemporary sport coaching pedagogy and also provides the opportunity to develop skills inleadership and planning, strength and conditioning, performance analysis, rehabilitation, reconditioning and nutrition. The practicum enables students to apply their learning and knowledge in their own work, in sport coaching settings or areas of sporting interest.
The GradCertSpC may be completed as a six-month full-time qualification or part-time over a period of up to four years. The GradCertSpC is offered as an online, flexible learning option where courses are supported through online resources, discussion forums, recorded lectures, PowerPoint presentations, video tutorials and other electronic media.
The GradCertSpC is a 60-point course comprising of four 15-point papers.Sport Coaching and Leadership,Athlete-Centred Coaching 2 andPracticum 3 are compulsory courses plus students choose one additional 15-point course fromSchedule C of the Bachelor of Sports Coaching.

Sport in other degrees
Students of other degrees with an interest in Sport may include our courses in other degrees as a minor or electives. Sport is also a popular choice for a double degree with common combinations including Commerce, Law and Health Sciences.
