Formula Student is a student-run competition in which ΢��ҕ�l students design, construct, and race a single-seat race car. Our student teams have been rated among the best in the world in Formula Student motorsport, and regularly race in the Formula Student international competition in Australia against student teams from around the globe. A ΢��ҕ�l Biomedical Engineering club (΢��ҕ�l BIOMED) aims to provide students who are studying Mechanical and Mechatronics and have an interest in Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering with the opportunities and skills to advance human health and wellbeing through technological innovation. ΢��ҕ�l Robotics, founded in 2017, is an exciting engineering club focused on the pursuit of robotics, both automated and RC.

The ΢��ҕ�l Aerospace club (formerly the ΢��ҕ�l Rocketry Association) is a student-led club sponsored by the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Learn more about ΢��ҕ�l Aerospace.

Each year, our second-year students compete for the honour of representing The ΢��ҕ�l at this international competition. The design, build, and compete challenge is run as assignments for ENME201 (Design Communication) in Semester One and ENME221 (Design and Manufacture) in Semester Two. Locally, about 220 students from Mechanical Engineering and the School of Product Design compete in teams of four.
