Focus
HUI-EU workshops are practically focused and informal, providing an arena to discuss research projects and receive constructive feedback from peers and senior academics, to engage in hands-on research skills-based activities, to provide advice to students on the doctoral process, and to facilitate engagement with practitioners.
At the core of these workshops is face-to-face engagement and networking with other participants, both within the framework of the workshop programme and in side activities.
Applications to attend 2023 HUI-EU workshops have closed.

Participant Obligations
Students participating in HUI-EU workshops are expected to:
- Provide the convenors with a short (2–5 pages) summary of their doctoral research project immediately following their acceptance into the programme;
- Record a short (5–8 minutes) doctoral research video introducing themselves, their background and interest in the European Union, and the nature of their doctoral research and what they hope to achieve. These videos are to be provided to the convenors prior to the workshop (a submission date will be provided once participants have been selected), to be made available through the HUI-EU website and other locations;
- Prepare for, and participate fully in, the workshop process.
