What is an emergency?

An emergency event which has the potential to seriously affect the University could occur from any of the following circumstances. This is not a definitive list and our emergency procedures have been developed with the expectation of having to respond to something new:

The above emergency procedures are contained in flip charts which are on display throughout the University. For further information regarding the flip charts or to obtain extra copies, please see the emergency procedures page of this website or contact Emergency Management staff.

If an emergency event impacts the University, it is advisable to check the ΢ҕl Facebook page and X (formerly Twitter) for up-to-date information.

If the above means of communication are disrupted, information will be conveyed to staff and students via whatever means are available and best suit the situation.
