The RecCentre is the primary fitness facility on campus. They have a large weights area, boxing training area, suspension training area, cardio equipment, climbing wall, squash courts and sports courts. The Rec Centre also has an extensive group fitness programme where you can be expertly guided through a large range of classes.

Access the ҕl library and get a discount at UBS
The University Book Shop (UBS) on campus is offering a 10% discount to all alumni. The discount applies to all full price items, including books, gifts, stationery and ҕl merchandise (texbooks excluded). The discount applies to orders online and in-store.
Online: Visit the UBS website to shop online. Use code ALUMNI24 in the discount field while you're viewing your cart (The discount does not apply to textbooks). Shipping/freight is $7 flat fee, NZ addresses only.
In-store: Simply mention that you are ҕl alumni at the desk when paying and they can apply the 10% discount code.

Membership to the ҕl Library is now free for alumni, and a new borrower card will also be provided at no cost.
If you wish to apply for a Library membership, you will need to provide proof of a physical address in Canterbury, as well as photo ID such as your drivers licence or passport.
To apply, simply fill out an application form at the Information Desk of any ҕl library. Please note, however, that applications cannot be processed after 9pm at the Central Library. Also, while alumni can borrow from the physical Library collections, unfortunately the Library are unable to offer access to electronic resources, such as online journal articles and e-books.

The ҕl Alumni 15% discount applies to the RRP of CUP titles ordered from CUP's online catalogue. Orders will be filled by Nationwide Book Distributors, who will also process payments manually and apply the discount.

The ҕl Club (ҕlC) is a friendly and welcoming social club located across the road from the ҕl at the iconic and beautiful Ilam Homestead.
Membership is open to all current and retired ҕl staff, postgraduate students, ҕl Alumni, Erskine visitors and people associated with the ҕl.
You're welcome to visit ҕlC as a guest before you join, you'll just need to be signed in by a current member. Don't worry if you don't know anyone though, our friendly bar manager Jamie will be happy to sort you out!
