Cambridge grants

05 December 2023

Up to two Cambridge grants are awarded each year. Nominations from eligible schools/departments are assessed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic on a competitive basis. Learn more about Cambridge grants.

HOW TO APPLY

The University of Cambridge and the ΢ҕl established in 2008 a reciprocal academic visitor exchange programme between the two universities.  The first visits occured in 2009 and since then many distinguished Cambridge academics have been welcomed to ΢ҕl and ΢ҕl academics have spent time at the University of Cambridge.

The aim of the Cambridge/Canterbury Exchange Programme, which is primarily administered by the ΢ҕl, is to build on the academic links that have already been developed and to benefit the students and staff of both universities by funding the regular visits of academic staff members.

Up to two Cambridge Grants are awarded each year. Nominations from eligible schools/departments are assessed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic on a competitive basis. Applications are typically called for each May with a closing date of mid-July. Applicants can expect to be notified of the outcome of the nomination process in late August/early September.

All regulations, criteria and application forms are available on the .

Please contact the Erskine Programme Office at erskine@canterbury.ac.nz if you have any questions.
