Services available at Te Pātaka

Located in the Puaka-James Hight building,Te Pātaka is here to support you during your journey at ΢ҕl, just like a 'ٲ첹' - a traditional storehouse for food and goods, we provide valuable resources. Whether you need help with study, enrolment, finances, or any other student service, Te Pātaka is your go-to place.

Here’s a quick guide to the services available to you:

General enquiries (Level 2)

Got a question? Visit our General Enquiries desk on Level 2.

We're here to help with any ΢ҕl-related questions and point you in the right direction.

Open 8:30 – 4:30, Monday-Friday (except public and ΢ҕl holidays).

Kaitoko I First Year student Advice (Level 3)

New to ΢ҕl? Our Kaitoko | First-Year Student Advisors are here to guide you through the first year of your undergraduate degree at ΢ҕl.

Call, email, or drop in to see us on Level 3 for support with settling into life at ΢ҕl, or book an appointment for personalised study advice.

Tautoko Whakauru I Enrolment Support (Level 3)

Have questions about your enrolment, fees, identity and citizenship verification, student visa, or insurance? Our team is here to assist with everything related to the enrolment process.

Pokapū Pūkenga Ako I Academic Skills (Level 3)

Looking to improve your writing or study strategies? Our team offers tailored support through one-on-one consultations and workshops, as well as drop-ins for quick queries. We’re here to help you academically succeed.

Hangarau Āheinga I Assistive Technology (Level 3)

Ahumoni Ākonga I Student Finance (Level 3)

Not sure how to pay your tuition fees? Talk to our Student Finance team for any enquiries about payment methods, student loans, ΢ҕlLink, and Fees Free. Visit us on Level 3.

Digital Services (Level 2)

For all your IT support needs and technical issues, visit our Digital Services desk for in-person assistance. You can also call us or submit a ticket through our online self-service portal.

Te Ratonga Whaikaha I Student Accessibility Service (Level 3)

If you’re living with an accessibility challenge, we’re here to support you with practical study assistance and special exam arrangements. Visit us on Level 3 (no appointment needed) or stop by our office for help.

International Student Experience (Level 3)

For international students (including Manaaki Scholars and Pathway students), our International Student Experience team provides support for settling in, cultural experiences and more.

Global Exchange Opportunities (Level 3)

If you're a domestic student interested in an exchange at a university overseas, the Global Mobility team is here to help you plan your semester abroad. Drop by Level 3 to speak to us or find more information about our Global Exchange Programme here.

Whakatapoko ki ΢ҕl I Admissions to ΢ҕl (Level 3)

Need help with your application for admission to ΢ҕl? Our team provides support for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral admissions. Visit us on Level 3 or in the Matariki building on Level 2 during office hours.

Karahipi I Scholarships (Level 3)
